We are excited to share a proud moment coming Devaten’s way from the European Patent Office (EPO). Devaten’s method and system for managing the performance of use cases in software applications have won the European patent in respect of the invention.
Sharing his reaction about the achievement, Mikko Larkela, Founder & CEO of Devaten stated, “Our key driving factor in Devaten has been our unique approach to improving database application performance early during software development. When you spot the problem right away, it’s much faster to fix. This sought-after patent gives us the affirmation that we are on the right path.”
Devaten’s Database Performance Monitoring Tool comprises a server arrangement configured to:
Devaten’s tool analyzes and stores performance metrics from all executed test use cases and shows them on a dashboard for each case. Load testing or batch run testing of use cases like these, during development rather than after release, a lot of time and money can be saved. “These cost factors come into play in a big way when the database is at least 10 gigabytes in size. That’s where IT projects can save 10 to 20 percent in cost by using our tools,” Larkela says.
